East Valley Water District is governed by a board of directors elected by the membership. Each member serves a three year term. The current board members are:
Dave Bielenberg is the Board Chair. Mr. Bielenberg has served as the Chair since the formation of East Valley Water District. He also serves as the Chair of the Board for CHS, a leading global agribusiness. Mr. Bielenberg formerly served as a director and president of the board for Wilco Farmers Cooperative in Mt. Angel, OR. He has been active in a broad range of agricultural and cooperative organizations. Mr. Bielenberg operates a diverse agricultural business near Silverton, Ore., which includes seed crops, vegetables, soft white wheat, greenhouse production and timberland.
Duane Eder started farming with his brothers in 1973. He currently farms 700 acres northwest of Silverton growing grass seed, onion, snap beans, cauliflower, green peas, and hazelnuts alongside his children, Brian and his wife Cari, and Scott. His wife Debbie is a retired school teacher, principal and superintendent. Mr. Eder attended high school at Gervais Union H.S. and graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in agriculture. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, hunting and fishing.
Ryan Eder has been on the East Valley Water District for three years. He farms with his father on the west side of Mt. Angel. Together they farm around 700 acres of grass seed, wheat, row crops, vegetable seeds, and also a nursery located at their farm. He has been back on the farm for four years after working for Wilco as an agronomist. Most of his spare time is currently taken up by chasing after his three young kids.
Glenn Goschie owns Goschie Farms with his siblings. Goschie Farms is nestled within the hills of the Pacific Northwest's scenic Willamette Valley, and has been a fixture in the Oregon farming community for over a century. Goschie Farms grows 1000 acres of hops, wine grapes, sweet corn, grass seed and wheat. Mr. Goschie spends volunteer time supporting the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program, which assists high school agriculture students in learning leadership and communication skills.
Kevin Loe is the owner of Triangle Farms; a sixth generation family farm located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains on the Northeast side of the Willamette Valley from Mt. Angel to Silver Creek Falls. Triangle farms uses environmentally conscious ways to grow seed, flowers, grass, forbs, vegetables, herbs, and specialty grains for seed in addition to timber and raising goats.
Lauren Reese serves as the Board Secretary.
